FaCtS is not a loan program; there are no interest or finance charges, and no credit checks. You will be assessed a $30 per semester enrollment fee, or a $55 annual fee. For more information pick up a FaCtS brochure in the Business or Financial aid office, or click on the e-Cashier button on our website.

students receive the help they need to navigate the college enrollment and funding process. Many families feel overwhelmed by the forms and the financing associated with entering college, and with the addition of a language barrier, the struggles may seem insurmountable. Additionally, the college’s financial aid director is bilingual in Spanish, as is the director of language services. There are formal programs for students in specific niches. “Project Redirection” is geared specifically toward the needs of single mothers who want to enter college. This project offers financial support for daycare and textbooks, plus guidance for assessing the student’s skill set and determining a career path that will lead to financial independence. “Project Running Start” allows students to earn college credit (both in liberal arts and technical classes) while enrolled in high school. For only $00 per course the student receives college credit and a college transcript with a grade. These credits are transferrable to other institutions, so students may be able to enter college with twelve credits already under their belt.
Amidst all these upgrades, College President Lucille Jordan has not forgotten that Nashua Community College is primarily a member of the Nashua community. For example, she has maintained a firm commitment to protecting the wetlands on the property. When asked about the facility improvements, President Jordan says, “Excellence and equity: you can’t have one without the other.” In order to provide excellent higher education opportunities for Southern New Hamsphire residents, NCC will provide facilities and programs on par with larger, four-year institutions. By taking advantage of the help offered by the college, the students can experience excellence for themselves while enrolled in degree-earning programs that meet their educational needs with the flexibility of a community-based institution.
