Brief resume of Leena Srivastava

							Dr. Leena Srivastava is the Executive Director of The Energy and Resource Institute
(TERI), New Delhi, India. She is responsible in defining and implementing TERI’s
research agenda to facilitate the transition to independent regulation in the infrastructure
sectors of the economy; providing research direction and guidance; developing
research projects and programmes; and managing projects. Dr. Srivastava is an active
member of various professional societies on energy and environmental economics such
as the International Association for Energy Economics and the Institute for Global
Environmental Strategies of Japan. She has been also an active member of the
Scientific Steering Committee (SSC) for the core Project “Industrial Transformation”
(IHDP-IT) of the International Human Dimensions Programme on Global Environmental
Change, International Scientific Planning Committee for the 2001- Open Meeting of the
Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change, and Working Group on Lifestyles
and Energy, World Energy Council. She is affiliated with professional journals and
international bodies on energy policy research and development. Dr. Srivastava
completed her Ph. D. (Energy Economics) in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore,
India (1995).
