WORKSHOPS FRIDAY NIGHT INCLUDE: (7:30 – 10:45 P.M.)
   * Team-Building skills, Sharpen your Communication Skills, MagiGrid Walk.

Saturday, October 21
7:30- 8:30 am- Breakfast on your own
Depart for Busch Gardens Thme Park- Tampa
BBQ Dinner at Hotel on Saturday evening.

WORKSHOPS SATURDAY EVENING ( 7:30 pm – 11:00 pm)
Several Student Leadership Training workshops will take place.

Trip includes:
    2 night accommodations
    R/T motor coach bus transportation
    Admission to Busch Gardens- Tampa (Saturday)
    BBQ dinner provided on Saturday night

COST- $260.00 (based on 4 students per room)
Payment due date-   1st payment of $130.00- Wed. 8/4
                    2nd payment of $130.00- Wed. 8/12
(Cash or you may make check payable to Monarch High.)

SUBJECT: DECA Fall Leadership Trip

Congratulations to each of you for signing up for the DECA Fall Leadership Conference
in Clearwater Beach on Oct. 21-23:
Each of you will receive this packet of information for important details about the trip as
well as the following (3) forms to be signed and returned to me by next Wednesday, 9/21.
    1. Field Trip/School Activity/Parent Permission Form
    2. CTSO Proof of Medical Insurance (note- if you are in my OJT program you
        have already completed this form!)
    3. Broward County Rules of Conduct

In addition, you have been provided with an itinerary for this trip, as well as a
Professional Dress Code sheet to assist you with what types of clothing to bring for the
trip. Note- On Friday night, students should be dressed in Business Professional Dress.
On the Saturday evening session, the dress will be Casual Business Dress. (No jeans or
denim, halter tops during Business Sessions).

Tips for Spending money- I would estimate bringing with you $25-$30 per day for food
and any incidentials such as snacks to purchase at Busch Gardens on Saturday. You will
be responsible for purchasing all your own meals except dinner on Saturday evening.

Tipping bus driver- We ask that you bring $1.00 to tip the bus driver each way to and
from Clearwater as a professional courtesy.

Wear you DECA club tee-shirt on the bus to Clearwater to show school spirit.
We might depart from another area high school other than Monarch, so I’ll let you know
as soon as I do. It is your own responsibility to get to our departure site.
