CHINESE KUNG FU
Jamie Hooper will teach Chinese Kung Fu, Seven-Star Praying Mantis, Eagle Claw,
and Northern Sholin Karate. The class is open to six-year-olds and up. Wear loose,
comfortable clothing.

EXIT EXAM / ACT REVIEW
Attention high school students! If you will be taking the High School Graduation Exam
or the ACT test, join Rosemary Lewey, a Lawrence County teacher, for some in-depth
review. The class will meet for as many sessions as are necessary to prepare for the
exam. Call Mrs. Lewey at 974-1522 or 565-7356 to enroll. Class times will be arranged
to meet students' schedules, and no fees are charged.

BEGINNING SCRAPBOOKING
Join Lori Sheppardto learnthe basics of scrapbooking by making a 12x 12 pagesuitable
for framing or for an album. Distressing techniques will be taught along with scrapbook-
ing techniques. Bring one to four 4x6 inch photos. Supplies will cost $6.00.

MICROSOFT OFFICE WORD
This course introduces the basic features and tools of Microsofto Office Word 2003,
including the following: working with documents, editing and proofreading documents,
changing the appearanceof documents, presenting information in tables and columns,
working with graphics and charts, previewing and printing a document. Computer

WILDFLOWER HIKE
Hike in the beautiful Bankhead Forest to see its beauty and learn about endangered plants
and beautiful wildflowers. Butch Walker and Dr. Charles Borden will be your guides to Indian
Tomb Hollow and other sites. Participants will meet at Warrior Trading Co. on Hwy. 33 at
Wren and depart promptly at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 19. Bring waterlsnack and wear
clothing and shoes appropriate for strenuous hiking.

FLOWER ARRANGING
Brannon Bradford will give tips and instructions on flower arranging. Everyone will make a
small spring arrangement. Materials will be furnished at cost for $5. Bring scissors.

GENTLE YOGA
Join Larry Smith for an introductionto yoga stretching, breathing and relaxing designed
for persons who are limited in some way and not able to perform a regular stretching
and limbering routine. This is the perfect class for people who are older or who are
unusually stiff or tense. Larry will introduce light stretching exercises from which a daily
routine can be developed and greatly improve flexibility, help to regulate circulation,
and relieve tension. Individual attention will be given to students in assessing needs
and accomplishing the exercises to a beneficial degree. This ongoing class will be
conducted in a non-competitive atmosphere where participants proceed at their own
pace. Approximately 40 minutes will be set aside for stretching with a group relaxation
session forthe remaining minutes. Although the exercises are light, persons with heart,
back or other serious medical conditions should consult a doctor before trying the
exercises. Bring a yoga mat or quilt.

GYMNASTICS
Jamie Hooper will teach beginners and more advanced students gymnastics including
such moves as back handspring, back tucks, aerial cartwheels, and full twists with lots of
stretching exercises to prepare for cheerleading. Wear loose, comfortable clothes. Class is
open to ages 6 and up.

DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY
This course will cover the basic principles and operations of digital cameras as well as
the rules and elements of good photographic composi.tion. Bring your camera, instruction
book and any photos you have questions or concerns about. A minimum of eight students
is required.
