Club Charter
The Club was formed in 1995, to bridge the gap between Rec League softball and High School fastpitch softball.
Cedarburg s Maxwells Magic Fastpitch is a member of the Shoreline Girls FastPitch Association, along with Grafton,
Mequon, Plymouth, Port Washington, Sheboygan (two to three teams), and Sheboygan Falls (two teams). The Shoreline
Association is a non-sanctioned, loosely structured organization based on instruction and good sportsmanship. Maxwells
Magic FastPitch Softball is not a Cedarburg Rec Department organization, but the Club does work with the Rec
Department.
Costs
Returning and New Player Fee U12 & U14(no uniform): $ 75
Returning and New Player HS Team: $ 35
Uniform Costs -- See Order Form
The Player Fee covers costs such as umpire fees, team equipment, team tournament entry fees and Club indemnity
insurance.
Sponsors such as Maxwell s, Sports Plus (Master Distributors), R. Herron Ltd., LJW Fund and Cedarburg Physical
Therapy help to defray many of the league expenses. The actual cost per player would be a minimum of $350, if not for
the generous help of our sponsors. Additional sponsors are always welcome.
Schedules
Please see calendar in prior mailing or visit our website at www.maxwellsmagicfastpitch.com
Practices are To Be Determined, based on weather
Tournaments are scheduled for ALL Teams
Game Day Information
Home games will be played at the CHS Softball Fields, located between Webster Transitional and Cedarburg High
Schools. Players should be at the park one hour before game time, unless otherwise informed.
Van/Car Pools are encouraged but not mandatory for Away games. Pooling location site and departure times will be
announced. E try to arrive at the opponent s diamond at least 45 minutes before game time, for warm-ups (batting and
fielding). Players and parents driving separately should keep warm-up time in mind.
Player Commitment & Availability
Please provide your team coach with written notice of vacation dates and other dates you know you will miss AS SOON
AS POSSIBLE. There is not a penalty for missing games or practices. However, players missing practices or games may
not start on defense in the next game, but will be in the batting order. All healthy players will bat in each game.
Please make EVERY EFFORT to attend all games and practices. It is understood that there may be occasional conflicts.
However, by accepting a spot on the team you are making a commitment to the other players, coaches and families who
are giving of their time and efforts. 90% participation in games and practice is expected. If you foresee numerous conflicts
due to your summer schedule or because of participation in another sport, PLEASE review your decision to commit to the
program. Please notify the applicable staff member if you are unable to make the commitment at this time!
All injuries MUST be disclosed to the coaching staff, by either the player or the parent.

Teams will play per WIAA and Shoreline Association Rules
Playing Time and Other Concerns
Players should discuss playing time concerns with coaches first, involve parents later if necessary
Sideline Coaching is strongly discouraged
If a player or parent has concerns over inappropriate behavior, please have the parent(s) discuss this with the appropriate
staff member
Equipment
We use a high school 12 softball - practice and game balls are provided by the Club.
The Club provides team bats, however, players may want to provide their own (generally 31 or 32 long, 19 to 22 oz. in
weight). If you purchase a bat, please make sure it is ASA approved and embossed with a 2000 or newer label. Bats not
approved will not be able to be used in either practice or games.
Players need to provide their own fielding glove, a minimum of 12 13 .
The Club provides catcher s mitts and protective gear.
Mouth Guards are required for all players.
Spiked/cleared shoes are strongly advised. (Non-metal ONLY)
Uniforms are to be worn for games only, not for practices.
Personal equipment bags are optional, but please bring a personal water bottle and towel to both practices and games. Be
aware of double headers and plan accordingly for water needs.

Permission and Insurance Forms
Please fill out all Medical Release and Parent Permission Forms. These must be turned in no later that April 15th. This
needs to be done due to the liabilities involved in today s world. The Club has taken out insurance to indemnify the city
and other parties against liabilities involved, since the Club is not a Recreational Department entity.
Players Responsibilities
