With the exam season in full swing employers' group the CBI has published the results of its annual audit of the UK's skills. The CBI/Edexcel Education & Skills Survey 2008 of 735 firms, which employ 1.7 million people between them, identifies skills gaps in the workplace, reveals the skills employers most value and spotlights how organizations source skilled people with the right qualifications. IT skills are also seen as weak, with over half of employers (56%) concerned about the ability of existing employees to use computers.
