Conventional wisdom notwithstanding, there is no reason either in the electric motor industry or in jazz why the two should not meet in a man's life if he has the mechanical inclination and cares about the notes. Harry Mayle, employed by Leeson Canada, Hanover, Ontario, for almost two decades, is living testament to this truth. He is curious in that he personifies the combination of industry and art. Mayle has played at all the major hotels in Toronto. He has also performed at gatherings of the Electrical Apparatus Service Association. Today, he plays both alto and tenor saxophone and the keyboard, which provide a nice segue into retirement.
