Talent Show Rules and Important Dates
• February 26th: Signed registration forms must be submitted to the PTA box by 2:40 p.m
• March 15th or 16th 3 to 4:30 –Auditions; Student can choose which day to audition. Auditions
will end in time to allow children to ride home the activity bus. Please bring your music, instrument, or
material to the audition. Music must be in digital format; e.g., cd or mp3. You will need to leave your music
at the audition for recording on a master disc. Your music will be returned to you ASAP.
• March 30th and April 15th 3 to 4:30 – Rehearsals; Participants must attend both days.
• April 20th or 21st 3 to 4:30 – Dress Rehearsal; Participant must attend one after school dress
rehearsals. Day will be assigned. Students can ride activity bus home.
• April 23rd 6:30 to 9:00 – Talent Show; Participant must be prepared to perform his or her talent.
• Participant must be a current Lucille Brown student. Exception made for accompanists of
students.
• Participant is limited to ONE act-- exception for members of the Band, Choir, and Orchestra.
• Participant understands that this is a non-competitive event.
• Participant understands that no lip-synching or inappropriate lyrics/suggestive material is
allowed.
• Each act is limited to a maximum performance time of 4 minutes.
• The school will provide a piano and sound system with microphones. You must provide any additional
instruments, props, audiovisual support, etc., that will be used during your performance.
Parents Approval & Participant’s Agreement; Parent: By signing below, I give approval for my Lucille
Brown student to participate in the Talent Extravaganza as noted above. I will insure that they will attend all
required meetings and rehearsal, and have transportation the night of the show. Participant: By signing
below, I agree to follow the Talent Show Rules.
