                                       INTRODUCTION

We are pleased to be able to provide you with course details and other information for the
professional flight training service that we are able to offer.

Our reputation is naturally dependent on the ability of our students to gain employment
over students from other schools. This is dependent on the standard of training we
provide and therefore graduating pilots. Before considering training with us we ask that
you make a personal commitment to doing your best in becoming a safe and professional
pilot. This will give you a sense of pride and safety, important for airline pilot recruitment.

The following information should answer most of your questions about making your initial
no obligation step in returning the Application for Enrolment form attached. Please contact
us if you would like some assistance in applying for enrolment or require any further
information. The process for enrolment of students is laid out in “Applying for a Position”.

IAAA is the international training arm of the group of businesses under Jandakot Flight
Centre Pty Ltd and is licensed by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority to provide all facets of
professional flight training. We are also registered under the Western Australian and
Australian Government Departments for Overseas Education and licenced CRICOS
providers for the issuing of student visas.

Unlike other flight schools we also conduct air charter and aircraft maintenance. As a
result commercial course students are trained by experienced and operational commercial
   pilots.

Our focus is on training, where you are ensured our full attention and support in order to
gain the best training possible for you, while our facilities and aircraft are the envy of many
   other flight schools.

Students gain training in commercial aspects not covered by the CASA syllabise and
unheard of in any other flight school. Aspects only found in well established organizations
and experienced pilots. Students also gain actual commercial operational experience as
part of their course. The combination of these two things, we feel, makes us the only
academy producing commercially trained and operational ready pilots anywhere.

Through this unique school a student not only leaves with the credentials and ability but
the understanding, familiarity and confidence only possible through the additional training
and actual practical charter experience we provide.

                            GENERAL INFORMATION
English Competency
You will be required to have a certain level of English competency. If you do not have the
required level of English proficiency we will refer you to an English Language College. It is
advisable to have an English proficiency test prior to coming to Australia to avoid the need
for additional study. This may be a requirement of your Visa application.
Medical Fitness
You will also be required to meet the medical standards as set by the Civil Aviation Safety
Authority. To do this you will have to visit an Australian Designated Aviation Medical
Examiner. A list of examiners close to your place of residence can be found on the CASA
web site www.casa.gov.au. This will be required prior to taking up training should you fail
the medical and not be able to fly because of medical reasons. For a Commercial Licence
you will require a Class 1 Australian Medical examination.
Student Visa
Should you require a student visa we will be happy to assist you as required. These are
only required for commercial courses of more than twelve weeks.
Health Insurance
Private Health insurance is required for all overseas students studying in Australia on a
student visa; we can organise this for you through the government agency. You must
have made arrangements for health cover before a student visa will be issued.
Accommodation
For full time international student university dormitory style accommodation is provided at
Curtain Muresk University, set on 4,000 acres of farm land and close to our international
training aerodrome at Northam which is one hours drive from Perth CBD. Meals are
included and cater for cultural and religious needs in the university dining room Monday to
Friday, on weekends students are able to cook for themselves in their dorm common room
or obtain take away from the town of Northam. Facilities include swimming pool, tennis,
basket ball courts, sports oval, squash, gym, library, university tavern and laundry.
Living Costs
Most of your living costs are covered in the accommodation and meals so students will
need only sundry expenses. These and accommodation costs are additional to tuition fees
and health insurance cover.
Work Rights
Your course is a full time course and you are expected to turn up for daily classes
scheduled for you. However, students on a Student Visa are permitted to workup to 20
hours per week provided the work does not interfere with your scheduled studies. Work
may be easy or difficult to find depending on the applicant and the employer’s needs at the
time.
Attendance Requirements
Students are expected to attend all class sessions. A 100% attendance is necessary to
fulfil course requirements. We are required to monitor your attendance and report to the
Department of Immigration if you do not attend the required number of sessions.

                       PERTH & NORTHAM IN GENERAL
Accessibility
Perth is readily accessible with many international airlines flying direct to Perth.
Parents and friends can take advantage of this accessibility to visit their sons, daughters or
friends during their training. On the other hand, should an emergency arise at home, a
flight can easily be organized. Northam has train and bus services into Perth and transfers
into Northam and the training airport are provided by the academy.
Communication
Family calls, social or business arrangements can be made from our offices. Telephone
rates from Australia to overseas destinations are very reasonable with particularly low
rates on weekends. Email is easily accessible to students to contact family and friends
around the world.
Excellent Climate
Our flight training program runs with few interruptions due to generally mild weather and
clear skies. The airports operate all year round with the temperate climate both
comfortable and conducive to flying training and study. Australian weather link
www.bom.gov.au
Time Zone
Perth is in the same time zone as South East Asia and this means that communication for
those from Asia is as simple as making a local call. For those from Europe and American
regions communication can be made in the evening and morning hours.
Safety
Perth is considered one of the safest cities in the world and the company will assist in
making sure students are counselled on safety and chaperoned if required. Northam is
considered a larger and important country town but is small enough to remain friendly with
a real Australian character.
Multi-Cultural Society
Students will find other nationals from many countries who have immigrated to Western
Australia or are training here and who have enriched the culture both through participation
in various walks of life, through business or social activity, and through adding their own
special and important traditions.
Living Costs
Most of your living costs are covered in the accommodation and meals so students will
need only sundry expenses. These and accommodation costs are additional to tuition fees
and health insurance cover.
Flight Training
Western Australia offers some of the best weather, geography and demographics for flight
training in the world and for these reasons is home to Singapore Airlines and China
Southern Airlines flight training colleges. More importantly, Northam is located in the
training country side while being close to Perth.
