On March 1 , the Research ship in Cognitive Aging, a private effort to promote the study brain function with age, announced the award of up to $28 million over 5 y to 17 research institutions to examine the neural and behavioral profiles of cognitive aging and explore tions that may prevent, reduce, or reverse cognitive decline in older people. partnership, led by the National Institute on Aging (NlA), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Mc Knight Brain Research Foundation (MBRF), is seeking ways to maintain cognitive health - the ability to think, learn and remember - into old age.
