Description: The hydraulic motors with internal cam and radial pistons are studied. Considering that the internal cam profile is a combination between circular arcs and sinusoids, having six lobes and the piston number being eight, the kinematic of the piston relative movements are determined and also the average of the acting moment created by the interaction between the piston roller and the internal cam profile. The determined average value of the acting moment depends on the cam dimensions, roller radius, piston surface and fluid pressure. Having the exact established relations between the hydraulic motor parameters and the resulting acting torsional moment it is possible to find the optimal solutions to obtain the maximal moment.
