Rolling my thighs and calves over this loosens up my muscles and works out any kinks. * Black Diamond Power Stretch gloves ($20; rei.com) the rink can get down to 35F. These gloves protect my hands while I skate, but they aren't bulky, so I can still tie my laces. * Nike Sphere thermal full-zip jacket ($110; nike .com) This is easy to move around in during practice, and it's stylish enough that I can wear it outside the rink too. * Bumble Bee Tuna Salad with Crackers ($2; at grocery stores) My practices don't end until 7 p.m.; one of these meal packs tides me over until I can get home fordinner. * Bath Petals French Alpine Lavender Bath Salts ($18; bathpetals.com) The night before a big race I take a bath with these to clear my mind and help me relax.
