The latest IMF forecasts indicate that the slowdown of economic growth in the EMU and the US will be somewhat stronger this year than projected in the autumn. Developments on international financial markets affected the domestic stock market -- the SB120 index dropped by almost 10% in January. The available figures on economic activity for the last few months of 2007 show signs of moderation, but are still at a fairly high level. Favorable trends in the non-financial market services continued at the end of 2007.
