Here's another high-tech company with an innovative service that offers a special method for predicting the climate of marketing. Most companies today haven't measured the impact of weather on their businesses. Their service is providing the measurement tools to show how weather is going to affect how consumers buy or don't buy. Planalytics' president and CEO Frederic Fox says that an initial challenge for Planalytics was communicating how much of an impact weather has on business performance and making such intelligence accessible and actionable for Planalytics' clients. Among the specific tools Planalytics offers is Insight, a Web-based application that provides real-time information about weather so customers can examine short-term sales opportunities.
