Force, who last September suffered numerous serious injuries in a finish-line crash in Dallas and spent 27 days at Baylor University Medical Center, has proclaimed himself ready to retake the saddle of his Castrol GTX Mustang for the 2008 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series season, beginning with testing at Firebird Int'l Raceway. Force, who suffered a compound fracture of the left ankle, tendon and ligament damage in his right knee, badly mangled fingers on his right hand and toes on his right foot, and a badly dislocated left wrist that required surgery during which pins were inserted and a cast applied, has imade what doctors are proclaiming as astounding progress in such a short time, a credit to the 14-time NHRA champion's dedication to his daily physical therapy regimen.
