Demonstrates mastery of content by creating original stories, poetry, role-plays, illustrations, non-linguistic representations, or other creative means. 3.11 History The students will explain the importance of the basic principals that form the foundation of a republican form of government by identifying the contributions of women (e.g., Rosa Parks, Helen Keller, Pocahontas, Susan B. Anthony). Using cooperative learning, the students will be split into four groups by the library media specialist and classroom teacher to complete a KWL chart about one of the famous American women. Collaboratively, the classroom teacher and the library media specialist support the students as they choose costumes to demonstrate the era, lifestyle, etc. of the famous women.
