Microsoft Point-of-Sale Solutions
Microsoft Dynamics™ point-of-sale (POS) solutions, including Microsoft Dynamics – Point of
Sale 2.0 and Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System 2.0, enable small and midsize
retailers to level the playing field in today’s competitive retail environment. With their ease of
use, affordability and reliability, Microsoft Dynamics point-of-sale solutions are used by
thousands of retailers in dozens of verticals, helping them manage inventory, control cash,
reduce costs and improve customer service. Microsoft Dynamics point-of-sale solutions work
with Microsoft® Office applications and widely adopted financial software such as QuickBooks
and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Microsoft Dynamics – Point of Sale provides small retailers with an easy-to-use application to
track sales, inventory and customer information. Designed to replace a cash register, Microsoft
Dynamics – Point of Sale saves time and money, automating stores at an affordable price.
Microsoft Dynamics – Point of Sale provides a solution to help owners of small businesses think
strategically, improve profit margins, build customer loyalty, reduce training time and maximize
employee effectiveness. Small-business owners can focus on their business, rather than their
technology, and recover valuable personal time with complete confidence that their business is
under control. Microsoft Dynamics – Point of Sale works like and with other commonly used
Microsoft software including Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2007, which ships in the
box. It also works with other commonly used small-business accounting offerings including
QuickBooks. Retailers can use Microsoft Dynamics – Point of Sale out of the box with existing
PCs and peripherals, or purchase complete hardware and software bundles from leading
technology providers. And, as announced at the National Retail Federation (NRF) Annual
Convention & Expo in January 2007 in New York, retailers can purchase a complete point-of-
sale solution with integrated payment processing from First Data Corp. (FDC). The solution
includes HP hardware, Microsoft Dynamics – Point of Sale and FDC payment processing.
Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System provides small and midsize retailers with an
integrated point-of-sale solution to manage operations in stores and across the business. This
