Online business card orders for: Durham College and University of Ontario Institute of Technology
Welcome to the TPH® Cardmaker Application. We have introduced an online application to Durham College and UOIT to make business card orders more streamlined and provide a much more efficient system for ordering and receiving cards. This User Guide has complete step-by-step instructions for accessing and using the application. The screen captures will walk you through each step of the process. When we call you to confirm your access, please write down your username __________________ and password ____________________ so that you have it ready when you need to place future orders. If at any time you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. You can also call us if you need to change or cancel an order if you have already submitted it online. Please note that the Communications + Marketing department at Durham College and UOIT will not be managing the process, it will be done through The Printing House Ltd. (TPH ®). Ordering Unique College / University Business Cards This software has been designed specifically for the standard Durham College and UOIT business cards. If you are looking to order unique cards such as:
• Dental Clinic – appointment cards • Beaverton Campus • HIRED • Skilled Trades
Please contact The Printing House Ltd. directly and we will arrange a PDF proof for your approval. You will have to approve the artwork via email or fax.

To get started log onto www.tph.ca …
Click on the “New User” link
*You will only have to do this once*
Fill out all the areas with red asterisks. You have to assign yourself a username and password, and provide us with your work information. **Please make
note of your username and password**
Please select our Whitby address in the location tab as the location of the business card supplier. Once you have completed the form click on the “Enter New User Information” button.
Once you have completed the form, you will be returned to this screen. We will be notified that you have registered and will email you once access to the site has been set up, and you can then refresh your page to view the features.
**You will only have to register this one time**
Once access has been granted, you will now see these tools in the menu bar: Durham College & UOIT EServices Site, Durham College & UOIT Address Book.
To proceed with a card order, please click on: “Durham College & UOIT E-Services Site”
You now have two card types: Durham College and UOIT. Select the card style you are ordering from the two tabs on the left side.
Now click the style of card. Durham has one style, UOIT has a corporate and a faculty card.
Place your cursor over the picture and click to select the product.
This is the control panel. The following is a list of functions available to the administrator of the program:
For Durham cards, select your campus name in the drop down box.
This will now fill in the spaces for your address only. You will still need to fill in your first and last name, accreditations, title, email address, telephone and fax. The main Durham College website will appear automatically on the cards, but there is an additional space for a department website if required.
**Please make sure you use periods instead of dashes for your telephone and fax numbers**
*Please note that the new college telephone number is 905.721.2000, the old extension 3111 is no longer being used.
For UOIT form filling, select UOIT Campus and the address will fill in for 2000 Simcoe Street. The campus name will be replaced on the card with your name once you type it in.
**All of the details on the UOIT card are in CAPITALS EXCEPT your email and website addresses**
*Please note that the UOIT telephone is 905.721.8668; the old extension 3111 is no longer being used. The main UOIT website will appear automatically on the cards, but there is an additional space for a department website if required.
For UOIT Faculty cards the same information applies, except you will have a field for your faculty name
You can add your faculty name in this field, and it will appear in the blue bar
*This field can also be used for the Office of Graduate Studies. **All of the details on the UOIT card are in CAPITALS EXCEPT your email and website addresses**

You can now click on “PDF Preview” to view a full size version of your business card.
If you need to make any changes, close the PDF and make your edits in the on the above screen. If you approve of the card, click on “Next Step”. **You will
not receive another proof from the printer and you are taking responsibility for the artwork you have viewed on screen as being correct**
If you approve of the PDF and after you have clicked on “Next Step”, you will see the quantity screen. Cards can be printed in 250, 500 or 1000. Click the drop down menu to the correct quantity you require.
Prices are:
$30 for 500 cards
$20 for 250 cards $45 for 1000 cards
You will have to provide a manager or director’s name for approval of your order. You cannot proceed to the next page without providing an approval name. Once you have completed this page, click on “Next Step”.
This screen is a confirmation of your order. It is a description of the product you are ordering. Click on “Add to Shopping Cart” to proceed with your order. You still have the option here to go back by clicking on “Previous” or to view your PDF once again by clicking “PDF Preview”.
This is a list of the items you wish to purchase and the cost for the product. You can order more than one name by selecting “Continue Shopping”, or proceed with the current order by selecting “Proceed to Checkout”. At this stage you still have the option to edit, PDF preview, duplicate the order, delete or hold the order.
Once you have selected “Proceed to Checkout”, you will then confirm your shipping address. Delivery is as follows: -Oshawa campus -Whitby campus -Beaverton location -Port Hope location -Port Perry location -Uxbridge campus Shipped to Oshawa campus Shipped to Whitby campus Shipped to DC mailroom Shipped to DC mailroom Shipped to DC mailroom Shipped to DC mailroom
On the same page as the shipping address, you will also have to provide your payment information. Your options are: -Credit Card -Cash Type in the spaces provided Must pick up and pay at: 325 Hopkins Street Whitby, ON
If you select credit card, you will have to put in the type of card, card number, expiry date and name on card in order to proceed to the next page. *You will receive an invoice with the credit card transaction slip upon delivery of the cards.
Once you have completed the payment options, click on “Next Step”.
Please take a look at the final page to confirm the number of cards and the pricing. If you are satisfied with the order click on “Place Order”.
This is your confirmation of the order and you will also get an email with a confirmation that we have received it. Our contact information is on the email if you need to contact us. Please expect your completed cards within 4 business days.
