Segment 2: “Toning the Arms”

TIPS:

  • Our first move with Diana was the Hollywood Kickout. Designed to work
both the inside and the outside of the tricep muscle, it demands that the
triceps be isolated (meaning that you will not swing your body to move the
weight: your elbows and wrists will be the only joints that move). Here’s
        how:
With a dumbbell in each hand, stand with your feet slightly wider
than hip width apart. With your back straight and knees bent,
lean forward until your torso is parallel with the ground. Raise
your elbows until they are perpendicular to your torso, and bring
the dumbbells to your chest, with your palms facing toward you.
You are now in the position of a football blocker. Using only
your elbow hinge to move, release your forearms so that your
arms are in a 90-degree angle and the dumbbells are
                   perpendicular to your body.

Using only your elbows as a hinge, exhale and drive the weights
out to the sides until your arms are fully extended. As you finish
your exhalation, twist your wrists so that your palms are facing
toward the floor. Twist back, inhale, and release back down to
the starting position on a count of three… two… one.

Exhale and drive the weights out to the sides until your arms are
fully extended. As you finish you exhalation, twist your wrists so
that your palms are facing toward the ceiling. Twist back,
inhale, and release back down to the starting position on a
count of three… two… one. Perform a comfortable number of
repetitions, alternating on each rep. Stretch after each set.

  • Our next exercise is called “The Hollywood Cheer.” Here’s how to do it at
        home:
With a dumbbell in each hand, stand with your feet planted
firmly on the floor about hip width apart. Bend your knees
slightly so that they are not locked. The dumbbells are
                  perpendicular to your body.
This exercise is performed on a six-count. Exhale on account of
one and bring your arms up, knuckles toward the ceiling, until
your arms are shoulder level and you are in the crucifix position.
Hold for a moment as you finish your exhalation. Inhale on a
count of two, and using only your shoulder joint, bring the heads
of the dumbbells together in front of you (thumbs toward each
other) until you are in the sleepwalking position. Exhale on a
count of three, and on a count of four… five…six, reverse the
steps until you are in the starting position. Perform a
comfortable number of repetitions and stretch after each set.

Segment 3: “Modern Up Do”

TIPS:

  • Want a sexy beach style without hitting the waves? Mix sea salt and
water in a spray bottle, and you’ve got instant beach sexy hair. Don’t feel
like mixing it yourself? Try Bumble & Bumble's Surf Spray.

  • To gain height in an updo or style use a comb or brush to back-comb
(tease, rat – quickly run your comb multiple times through the hair to
create bulk) the section where you wish go gain more volume. Use a bit of
hairspray on fine hair. Then smooth with a boar bristle brush. Set with
        hairspray.

  • To achieve longer lasting curls when barrel curling or heat setting: Wait
until curls are completely cool before you separate or style; or you can
blow-dry the hair on a cold setting at low speed. With light veil of
hairspray for hold. Avoid products with a lot of water or oil. The moisture
will bring frizz and cause the curl to relax.

Segment 4: “Fresh Faced Makeup”

TIPS:

  • ALWAYS wear either a foundation or moisturizer with an SPF of 15 or
higher. And don't forget the lip balms with SPF too!

  • To avoid excess shine in your complexion layer a translucent powder over
        your tinted moisturizer or foundation.
Segment 5: “Summer Fashion”

TIPS:

  • DO wear empire waist sundresses this summer. Back in style, an empire
waist draws attention to the bust and away from problem areas.

  • DO sass them up with a great belt. Belts can create the look of a
streamlined waist and give your body shape.

  • DO accessorize with a great Boho bag. You can fit everything in them,
        and they are stylishly now!

  • DO buy a pair of peep toe espadrilles this season. The height of
espadrilles give every woman length to their legs, and peep toes add a
        sexy twist to the classic.

  • DO dress up a great sundress with a trendy wedge shoe, or go casual
with flip-flops. Both looks work well for summer.

  • DO wear chunky jewelry, but:

  • DON’T over-accessorize. It’s easy too full into the trap of too much.
