for 6 to 8 year olds Uncover the mysteries of science in a series of dazzling bold experiments and activities. Developed for budding scientists, this hands-on discovery camp features one wacky experiment after another — tie-dye a lab shirt and eat the results of your own experiments! Our team of enthusiastic counsellors will lead young scientists in performing activities with light sensitive paper, sound effects, chemistry, “bubble-ology,” and more.

for 6 to 8 year olds Blast off and join our junior astronaut camp on a “mission” to the planets. The countdown is on as cosmic kids complete astronaut training in a series of hands-on activities. Hand-eye co-ordination games, fun construction projects, and daily water rocket launches make for a great adventure! Junior astronauts tour the Solar System to find the most suitable planet to set up a base station. Design and build a space station model to take home, make dry ice comets, and eat astronaut ice cream.
tech-Works! cAmp
for 9 to 12 year olds Become an inventor and an innovator in this camp that unites science and engineering. Campers apply basic engineering principles in the design and construction of a RoboDome, where remote-controlled cars compete in a series of events including a smash-up derby—last one rolling wins! Build a pasta bridge and test it to failure, design a motion fun machine, experiment with electrical circuitry, make a pin-hole camera, and more. Participants are guaranteed to develop problem-solving skills!

for 9 to 12 year olds Discover how robots are used in an automobile assembly line, in films and entertainment, in space, and in medicine. What are animatronics and artificial intelligence? Can robots ever replace humans? Work in teams to create and build robotic components. Use the LEGO Mindstorms construction system to create and program a robot that performs simple tasks. Build your own robot to take home, and talk with Pixel, the Museum’s friendly robot.
for 6 to 8 year olds Come explore the world of unusual objects, from your favourite toys to trains, drains, and automobiles. How do these things work? What’s inside them? Loads of fun and excitement are in store for young Gizmo Inspectors like you! Create gadgets that use wind power and gadgets that use water power, make some funny putty, and explore sound- and light-energy gadgets. Ever heard of the famous egg-drop activity? In this new twist, Gizmo Inspectors design and build an egg-catcher gadget.
