The organizing committee cordially invites you to participate in this forum for technical and social exchanges among the Korean-American Scientists and Engineers in the South-Western region. We are soliciting scientific/technical presentations and exhibitions as well as workshop proposals and invited speakers for the conference. We particularly welcome papers that present prospects for science and technology that are directly related to our future life and practical application, the theme of the conference. We would also like to solicit short video presentations describing your projects/accomplishments/research results. The conference plans to host a variety of other programs relevant to your interests such as the introduction of Korean companies and research centers. Please join us and share your interests and accomplishments with other outstanding senior and junior Korean-American scientists and engineers. Subject Categories: (including but not limited to)  Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering (ACC)  Aerospace Technology (AST)  Biomedical Engineering (BME)  Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE)  Computer and Information Sciences (CIS)  Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE)  Innovative Technologies and Applications (ITA)  Mathematics and Statistics (MAS)  Mechanical Engineering (MEE)  Medical and Life Sciences (MLS)  Women in Life Sciences (WLS)  Physical and Material Sciences (PMS) Submission of Abstract (Due by February 7, 2005) 300 words or less camera-ready abstract with the title, name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s) should be submitted to the corresponding session chairs or the program chair. Proceedings of the scientific/technical papers will be published as submitted at the conference. For more details, refer to the followings: Scientific/technical papers: Indicate at the end of the abstract the session where you want to present your paper, the author for mail correspondence, and any special audio-visual aids (except overhead projector) required for your presentation. The oral presentation will be limited to 20 minutes. Videos/ Exhibition: The length of the video will be limited to 10 minutes. Indicate at the end of the abstract the length of your video presentation, the session where you want to present your video, and the author for mail correspondence. Exhibition proposals should be submitted to the program chair. Indicate at the end of the abstract, any special hardware and equipment required for your exhibition, and the author for mail correspondence. Proposals for Workshop/Tutorial/Panel Discussions: Proposals should be submitted to the program chair. Indicate at the end of the abstract the author for mail correspondence. The length of the workshop/tutorial/panel discussions is limited to one and a half hours.
