                            Hospitality Services
    Texas Tech University Hospitality Services serves over 6,400 residents and 3.5 million
meals in two all-you-care-to-eat venues, two food courts, three retail operations in the Student
Union, a food emporium and six mini-markets (plus two Express Kiosks) throughout each
academic year. All dining locations and kiosks are conveniently located within, or adjacent to,
each residence hall/complex. Hospitality Services provides excellent quality, value and service
to all customers. A team of professional staff members, committed to providing the best dining
service experience possible, manages each dining hall. Hospitality Services offers an
assortment of dining options and menu choices with dining plans accepted at all Hospitality
locations on campus.
    In the two all-you-care-to-eat venues, an extensive menu has been developed to meet            Sam’s Place at Sneed

students’ nutritional needs. The variety of the four-week cycle menu includes hot bread, soup
and salad bar, sandwich bar, self-serve vegetable bar and multiple entrées at every meal. To
complement each meal, an extensive selection of beverages, condiments, cereals, desserts and
ice cream are also available. Hospitality Services is proud to have won numerous prestigious
awards presented by the National Association of College and University Food Services
(NACUFS) for menu design, catering and special events as well as “Best in the Business” for
its Sam’s Place Mini-markets.
    The Market at Stangel/Murdough is a food court offering meals and snacks with dine-in
or take-out service. The service is a-la-carte with each item individually priced. The Market
hosts many options including Tuscanos® Subs, pretzels, Paninis, Mexican, Asian/Wok, loaded
potato bar, Italian and grilled foods, carved meats, chicken, pizza, a salad bar and café/
bakery. No matter what you are hungry for, The Market at Stangel/Murdough is serving it up
for you!

to the Carol of Lights Buffet, each dining hall presents several major theme dinners (i.e.,
Southwestern, deli or Italian) served buffet style. Other special events include food bars (i.e.,
potato, taco, nacho and dessert), late-night Breakfasts, and fun food (i.e., cotton candy, sno-
cones and popcorn), plus “Chocolate, Chocolate Night” and monthly birthday celebrations.
Steak Nights are offered at Sam’s Place West and Murray, The Market at Stangel/Murdough,
and The Fresh Plate at Bledsoe/Gordon on an upcharge basis. Special events at The Market

Theme Lines
     A theme line is a special menu served Monday
through Friday in the two all-you-care-to-eat venues
on campus. A variety of chef-inspired menu entrées

                                 Late-Nite Hours?
                                     Certain concepts at The Market at Stangel/Murdough are open for late-nite hours. Late-
                                 nite hours, Monday through Thursday, are from 8 p.m. to midnight and Sunday evening
                                 from 6 p.m. to midnight. Dining Bucks (at a reduced percentage discount), Raider Card,
                                 cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted at this time. Additionally, Sam’s Place Mini-
                                 markets at Murray, Sneed, Wall/Gates, and Sam’s Place West in the Wiggins Complex are
                                 available late-nites. Times vary by location. Serving hours, locations, and menu items are
                                 subject to change without notice.

                                 Food or Dishes Taken Out of the Venues?
                                     Only sack meals, fruit in the skin and ice cream may be taken out of the all-you-care-
