									                      REAL ESTATE PROPERTY TAX REMINDER

The Treasurer’s Department will mail out an estimated 10,000 delinquent real estate property
                                                                          ,
tax reminders beginning January 6, 2006. By mailing a second notification Johnson County
provides both citizens and mortgage companies a reminder of taxes due. Interest and penalties
have begun to accrue as prescribed by Kansas State Statute and will continue until the first half
tax amount is paid.

Last year, at this time the Treasurer’s Department mailed out over 10,633 real estate tax
reminders. This is an annual service the Treasurer’s Department provides to the taxpayers of
Johnson County.

To see if your payment has been posted or your mortgage company has made payment, please
log on to our website at http://treasurer.jocogov.org to access your account.

WAYS TO PAY YOUR TAXES:

   Internet Payments
   http://treasurer.jocogov.org can be made 24 hours by eCheck or Credit Card (VISA,
   American Express, MasterCard or Discover Card). A convenience fee is charged for these
   services.

   Mail Payments
   Can be made with check, money order, cashier’s check or Discover Card. Please make
   checks payable to Johnson County Treasurer and mail to P.O. Box 2902, Shawnee Mission,
   Kansas 66201-1302.

   Counter Payments
   Can be made with cash, check, money order, cashier’s check or Discover Card in the
   Treasurer’s Office, located in the County Administration Building at 111 South Cherry Street,
   Suite 1500 in Olathe. The Treasurer’s Office is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. to
   5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. If you do not want to wait for a receipt there is a drop box
   available by the Treasurer’s Office inside the County Administration Building from 8:00 a.m.
   to 5:00 p.m.
