Among the highlights of The Work Truck Show, sponsored by the National Truck Equipment Association and held this year in St. Louis, was Nissan's official entry into the North American commercial vehicle market. Now finalizing plans to bring its first production commercial vehicle to North America in late 2010, the company unveiled the all-new Nissan NV (Nissan Van). Powertrain options for the front engine/rear-wheel drive NV include 4.0-liter 24-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy V6 and 5.6-liter 32-valve DOHC aluminum-alloy V8 gasoline engines mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Designed for a mobile workforce, the NV features a 120.7-in cargo floor length and 70.3-in maximum cargo floor width.
