The CPSU/CSA GA4 Claim
Term of the Agreement Wages 3 years 9% 26 Feb 08 7% 26 Feb 09 7% 26 Feb 10 (Safety net adjustment flat rate calculated at level 1.9) Increase in the employer superannuation contribution: • An additional 2% after 3 years service; • A further increase of 1% after 5 years service; • A further increase of 1% after 7 years service; Address any inadequacies in Gold State Super. That Government commit to fully fund GA4 and not require agencies to identify internal savings through cuts to services, resources or staff to fund the agreement. Attraction and retention benefits to be negotiated during the term of the agreement where there are difficulties in attracting and retaining employees for positions that are in remote areas, specialist in nature or subject to markets rates. Increased access to overtime for Level 6 and above. 20% night shift. • Availability: $2.75, $2.85, $2.95 • On-call: $5.50, $5.70, $5.90 • Standby: $10.90, $11.10, $11.50 40 in 52. • Increase in the credit hours that can be banked to 75. • Increase hours carried over between settlement periods. Increased capacity to use personal leave to care for other people where they have a chronic or life threatening illness. Conversion to permanency where award or agreement provisions on the use of contract employment are not met. • Improve the environmental performance through the develop of a joint sustainable workplace policy. • Specific initiatives to include incentives to car pool and free public transport for public sector employees to be implemented during the life of the agreement. • Graduate Allowance $1600 per year for 5 years. • Flexibility to access study leave for RTO. The cost to be met for all existing and future employees. That an allowance of $20 per fortnight be paid to employees undertaking any of the following roles: Fire Warden, First Aid Officer, Grievance Officer or OH&S Rep. • Outcome of the District Allowance Review. • Specific allowances in hard to staff locations and locations with regional complexities. • Notification of the commencement of new employees to be provided to the Union. • As part of their induction guaranteed time of 30 minutes to speak to new starters. • Paid employees meeting every 3 months. To be included in the Award as outlined.
