This year, the US started to emerge from an economic downturn that has been widely recognized as the worst since the 1930s, a recession that continues to cast a shadow on the economy and the health care industry. Add to that the enactment of the most sweeping healthcare legislation since the 1960s. Not only was this year a once-in-a-lifetime experience for the author personally, it was a year of once-in-a-lifetime events for all of them who have devoted their careers to healthcare finance. They all make simple contributions every day in their jobs. Always remember that you are making it count.
