No CFC funds are used to hold this tournament. It is a pay-as-you-go event partially subsidized by outside companies and is designed to be a “thank you” to federal workers for their support of eligible CFC charities. All proceeds made from the event will go to the “undesignated CFC” fund in support of local, national and international charities. (You will be advised which hole you will begin on at the start of the tournament on the 7th.) YOU MAY COPY THIS FORM IF YOU DESIRE TO ENTER MORE THAN ONE TEAM. 2007 COMBINED FEDERAL CAMPAIGN KICKOFF “SCRAMBLE” GOLF TOURNAMENT — SEPT. 7, 2007 RULES OF THE DAY: 1. Normal “scramble” rules apply. Each person will hit a ball. The best ball will be chosen and each person will then hit a second shot from that same location. Prior to each shot/putt, a marker will be placed adjacent to the ball being played so each succeeding shot/putt is played from the same location. This will continue until a putt drops. One score will then be registered for the team for that hole. 2. Each person must have a MINIMUM OF TWO of his/her drives off the tee used during the 18 holes played. All men will start off on the white tees. If the foursome records a “birdie” or an “eagle” the next hole will be played from the blue tees. This will continue until the foursome records a “bogey” or worse at which time they can revert to the white tees. This same “back and forth” procedure will continue all day for the men. The red tees will be used for women no matter what the team score is. 3. Longest drive for men will take place on hole #14. (Only balls in the fairway will be counted. Everyone will tee off from the white tees on this hole.) 4. Longest drive for women will take place on hole # 9. (Also must be in the fairway to count.) 5. Closest to pin for men (from white tees for all) will be on hole #17. 6. Closest to pin for women will be on hole #13. 7. Longest putt will be on hole #1. (one prize--guy or gal) 8. SPECIAL RULES FOR LADIES: Each foursome may deduct one stroke from their final score for each lady they have in their foursome. 9. PRIZES: Prizes will be awarded for first through fifth place in the morning and afternoon, for last place, for longest putt (only one winner of either sex) and for longest drives and closest to the pin. One set of prizes will be awarded for the morning and another for the afternoon. (In case of ties, lowest handicap holes will be compared.) 10. MULLIGANS: EACH GOLFER MAY PURCHASE A MAXIMUM OF TWO MULLIGANS which can be used on any shot or putt except on the longest drive and closest to pin holes. The mulligans will be sold at the sign-up table—(FOR $5.00 EACH THIS YEAR)---and must be purchased before the first tee off. Mulligans may not be given, traded or sold to any other player. (See Rule #12 for “mullligan” prize drawings.) 11. The CFC Challenge, sponsored by Hinckley Dodge Ogden, occurs on hole #3. (Men tee off from 165 yards and women from 150 yards.) For $10.00 to enter, anyone ending up on the green wins a box of golf balls. If you end up within 20 feet of the pin (the chalked circle), you will be entered in a drawing at the end of the morning/afternoon (2 winners) to win $100.00 in cash. If you enter and make a hole-in-one, you win a new Dodge Nitro! BONUS: If you enter, you will also receive two more tickets which will be entered in the drawings for prizes. 12. A number of “drawings” will take place after the scores and prizes are posted. The other half of your mulligan ticket(s) and your CFC Challenge ticket(s) will be placed in a jar and if one of yours is drawn out after your round, you are a winner, no matter what score you had. Someone from your team must be present to claim your prize, however.
