Service Hours Documentation
In order to promote community service within the Greek community, we are comprising
a list of volunteer hours, and agencies in which chapter members volunteer in during each
term. This documentation will be used on publications to promote community service for
public relations and recruitment purposes. Please fill out this form and return to the HLC
by Monday of Finals Week.

Please attach an excel spreadsheet that lists all your members, the number of hours they
volunteered over the course of the term, and which agencies each chapter member
Description of Hours:
• Volunteer hours include any volunteering done in the community, for credit or
non-credit. Credit hours can come from the Service Learning Program, majors,
minors, etc. On-campus community based programs such as Saferide and on-
campus pre-schools do count towards community service hours.
• Volunteer hours count towards individual hours as well as community service
done as a chapter.
• Any time spent planning or participating in Greek philanthropy events DO NOT
count towards community service hours. However, philanthropic events such as
Dance Marathon and Relay For Life are acceptable.
• Any thing that you are paid for does not count as community service.
