“The Lord is my strength and my song he has become my salvation.” Exodus 15:2
I trust in his steadfast Love for ever and ever Psalms 52:8
We start with a little light of faith, a hope for salvation, a promise of a life and life after death. We aspire to
make life here meaningful in some special way. When we realize that material possessions won’t
do it we turn to faith and for Christians that means Christ. No where do I find a better place to
put God’s love in perspective then in the Em- maus, Chrysalis, and our other fourth day spiritual
movements. It is true we build leadership for the church but to truly lead a spiritual community re-
quires a unique understanding of the love of Christ. This is what Emmaus teaches the best, the
love of Christ. I have been blessed with a team handed to me by God to do a magical thing with 36
guys beginning on October 8th. These men, the team of walk 1525, love Christ and are a unified
body of believers ready to deliver God’s love to the pilgrims on a silver platter. The pilgrim’s spiri-
tual lives will certainly be enhanced by the love of Christ exhibited by this team. How profound is it
to be entrusted with such a holy task, of speak- ing for Jesus through our words and actions during
our weekends. I am most definitely standing in awe with goose bumps and chills at the honor we hold. The Lord is our

Be kind to on another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.
Eph 4:32
In this verse, Paul states one important teaching each of us has struggled with or will struggle with at some
point in our lives—Forgiveness. Why do we have such a hard time with forgiveness? Are we so consumed by hate and
anger that we loose sight that God sent his only son Jesus to forgive our sins? Are we not called to turn the other check
when our brother hurts us? This verse spoke to me way before our planning stage and I believe it will speak to our pil-
grims in October as well.
I believe God has great plans for JTD #78. Our team has been tremendous and our practice talks and team
meeting have truly been guided by the Holy Spirit. He is working amongst us, through us and in us! A big thanks to the
Damascus, Emmaus, and Act communities for your love and support. Please continue to lift our team and pilgrims up in
prayer and we look forward to seeing you at Candlelight.
