About EPF : The European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (EPF) is
a Brussels-based Parliamentary network that serves as a platform for cooperation and
coordination for the 25 all-party groups in Parliaments throughout Europe that focus on
improving sexual and reproductive health and rights at home and abroad through national
and regional health and foreign aid budgets. EPF’s Secretariat, which is located in Brussels,

Key Elements of the post:

About the Position: The Programme Officer will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-
day implementation of a range of political advocacy projects in the field of global health
and reproductive health within the European Parliamentary Forum on Population and
Development. The successful candidate will be organised and methodical in respect to their
approach to project co-ordination and be able to adapt to the various tasks required of the
projects, which include: research, analysis, organising political events, travel and ensuring
donor requirements for projects are met.
A key aspect of the post requires ease and strength in numerical ability, both in
understanding data from official sources to meeting donor financial requirement for various
projects. Expertise with Excel is therefore required. The projects the programme officer is
likely to be involved in include: mapping the source of development cooperation funding
from European donor countries, analysing political party positions on a range of issues and
advocacy projects on global health. Ensuring compliance with financial and reporting
obligations of each project will be a prominent feature of this position.
Requirements of the position:
- fluency in English or French, additional languages welcome
- ability to travel (around Europe and the world)
- demonstrated numerical ability and familiarity with Excel
- educated to Master’s Degree level
- me be able to legally work in Belgium
