Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the contents of this document. However, in the event of any discrepancy between

Employees Retirement System of Texas, those documents, contracts, statutes, and administrative rules will prevail.
ERS administers and oversees retirement, insurance, deferred compensation, and flexible benefits programs for the State of Texas. The
following information is to help you understand and use your state-offered benefits. More detailed information regarding benefits is
provided on the ERS website, www.ers.state.tx.us. If you have questions or need information, you also may use the Customer Service
Direct program on the ERS website.
All employees are responsible for being knowledgeable or seeking clarification of Human Resources policies and procedures. If you
have questions or need information regarding TDCJ policies, contact the Human Resources Representative for your unit or department.
In addition, the Human Resources policies and procedures are accessible from the TDCJ Human Resources home page
(http://www.tdcj.state.tx.us/vacancy/hr-home/hr-home.htm) and INFOPAC. INFOPAC is available to employees who have a Mainframe
User ID and through a common-use area terminal located at each unit and some departments.
