We're looking for someone with strong skills in digital design, which can be
turned to almost any creative purpose. Graphics will often need to work across
platforms, so we require flexibility and a willingness to adapt to new software

We require excellent skills in:
Graphic design using one of the mainstream software packages
ie.Photoshop/InDesign/Illustrator/etc
Web design

Desired skills:
Web usability and accessibility
HTML/CSS skills

Who are Campus Mags?

Campus Mags are a publishing services company that specialise in marketing
magazine and newspaper publications to students. We work with a number of
different publishing clients to enable students to gain easy access to the
magazines that we work with. We do this by providing discounted magazines in
the union shop and by provided discounted student subscriptions.

We currently work with approximately 20 different titles, including the Guardian
and Observer, the Economist, the Financial Times, Men’s Fitness, Dazed and
Confused, National Geographic and the Spectator, to name just a few.

What will I be doing?

As a Student Brand Manager you will be our eyes and ears on your campus for
many of the magazine publications that we work with. With your unique insight
into the local student environment you will help us raise the profile of these
publications while working with the store that these magazine are sold in.

An example of some of the things that you may be doing would be:

-Taking responsibility for every element of marketing the magazine brands on
your campus.
-Working closely with the Campus Mags team to achieve maximum publicity of
the magazines.
-Targeting specific student audiences with relevant promotional material in key
locations on campus and at appropriate times of the year.
-Marketing campaigns to increase subscription sales.
-Reporting back to us on what students think of the brand, attitudes towards
competitors, advise on marketing campaigns in your university, organising local
sponsorship and liaise with local retailer.
-The role of Student Media Manager on your campus will be a balance between
ensuring that you meet marketing objectives whilst also coming up with your
own promotional ideas, for which you will be rewarded.

What Skills do I need to have?

You will need to have an interest in marketing, promotion and advertising. A
further interest in the magazine market or publishing would be preferable
although by no means necessary.
You need to have excellent communication skills with a reliable track record of
getting things completed.
You need to be enthusiastic, active and entrepreneurial.
You need to be able to work independently and meet deadlines.

How much will I be paid and what is in it for me?

We pay £7 for each hour’s work that you complete. Further still, for every
subscription that you are responsible for we will reward you with £5.

Apart from being financially rewarded for your hard work, you are given the

will be our sole representative for the titles that we work with which will look
fantastic on your CV, irrespective of whether you want to pursue a career in
marketing or publishing.

Job Description
Casual Boat Crew Position Required:

Crew/Host/Hostess required for Motor Boat Day Charter business based out of
Poole and covering all coastal areas from the Solent down to Weymouth. Boat
crew experience to RYA Competent Crew level would be preferred but not
essential. Excellent communicational and organisational skills, including client
hosting are essential. Some administration work may be required (based at
Ringwood). Reliability of crew when called upon is extremely important which
may occasionally be at short notice.

Days and hours of work will be flexible depending on bookings taken during the
course of the season from approx April to October. Salary £50 per day.

Candidates should be able to swim, those who suffer from seasickness should
not apply.
