The consistent and correct application of the United Way of San Diego County brandmark is essential.
THE STANDARDS BELOW MUST BE FOLLOWED BY EVERYONE

BRANDMARK PLACEMENT: The brandmark should always be placed
at a distance of a half of the symbol square from the right edge of any print
or on-screen application (see illustration on the right). It cannot be centered
or put on the left hand side.
No tagline should be used except "Live United." But it is only to be used
by the Marketing Department.
TYPOGRAPHY: Three standardized typefaces have been chosen for United Way’s identity. They are to be
used in all printed and online communications. Typeface should only be Black or Blue (if Pantone color
Meta typeface: To be used primary in all headlines and subheads (Marketing has access to this font only)
Arial typeface: A substitute for Meta only when Meta is unavailable. Arial can also be used in text.
Times New Roman typeface: May be used in text, but should not be used in headlines or subheads.
COLOR PALETTE: Using colors consistently in all communications will strengthen brand recognition. The
United Way color palette is comprised of colors used in the brandmark. In addition, two grays, black and white
are added for flexibility. IF YOU DON’T HAVE ACCESS TO THE PANTONE COLORS BELOW, YOU MUST
USE BLACK...NO EXCEPTIONS!
