Fundación Pere Tarrés

Fundación Pere Tarrés (FPT) is un organization from Barcelone and is member of
  Coordinació Catalana de Colònies Casals i Clubs d’Esplai (CCCCCE).

The FPT has around 160 local groups. We also organize training courses for leaders, and also
  we offer also some services to families, to schools and other organizations.

During summer time the FPT organize some English summer camps for children and
 teenagers. ,

English Summer Camps of FPT

Main Goals of this activity: beside providing an educational experience to the participants during
  our summer camp, which he(she) learns and begins in the use of the English language; the
  participants can enjoy their free time.

These activities are realized in our facilities (proper) lodgings of the FPT. We organize those
 activities during July and August. Our English summer camps can last from 8 to 12 days.

The participants of these activities are children between 6 and 12 years old; and also boys and
  girls of between 13 and 16 years.

Every activity is leading by a team formed by several leaders (1 leader for every 10 participants)
  and directed by a summer camps director.

Participation of Readers from fimcap organizations

The FPT appreciates as a very positive contribution the fact of relying on leaders of other
  fimcap countries that they could contribute with their experiences of exchange, intercultural
  learning and certainly, being bases teachers of English language for these linguistic activities.


We invite FIMCAP organizations to provide leaders who would like to take part in our English
 Summer Activities in Catalunya.

The requirements

        The leaders that we look for must have a great knowledge of the English language.
        In addition, they must have experience as leaders in summer camps.
        If your leaders have any possession of official qualifications to be leasders from your
        organization or from any official department, it will be very good. As well if the leaders
        have any knowledge of Spanish, educational resources…

    •   13/07/09 a 21/07/09:   Albergue La Ruca (Moià – Bages)
    •   13/07/09 a 22/07/09:   Albergue Montsec Mur. (Tremp – Pallars Jussà)
    •   13/07/09 a 22/07/09:   Albergue Anna Maria Janer (Llívia – Cerdanya)
    •   21/07/09 a 31/07/09:   Albergue La Ruca (Moià – Bages)
    •   31/07/09 a 10/08/09:   Albergue La Ruca (Moià – Bages)
    •   10/08/09 a 21/08/09:   Albergue La Conreria (Tiana – Maresme)
    •   01/09/09 a 10/09/09:   Albergue Santa Maria del Roure (Cantonigrós – Osona)


The activities to be developed in each shifts are changeable and are planned by the leaders
team.

Typology of activities:

        handcrafts and creative works
        Games (sports, cooperative, traditional...)
        Excursions and activities in open air (nature)
        Songs and dances
        Parties and night activities, · Etc.

Logistics and functional aspects

Economic gratification:
All the expenses derived from the participation in the activity: diets, housing and assurance of
accidents and civil responsibility will go at the expense of the Fundació Pere Tarrés.


Preparation Period:
There will be a preparatory meeting just one day before of the starting day in the headquarter of
FPT in Barcelona with the educational team of the activity.
