Under the direction of the Director-Elementary Education, serve as a program liaison between families and
schools; participate in the planning, organization and implementation of District-wide parent involvement


Serve as a program liaison between families and schools; confer with school administrators, parents and
teachers to establish and maintain ongoing parent activities supporting academic achievements.

Serve as an informational resource regarding District-wide family involvement workshops, in-services and
activities; prepare and present oral presentations regarding workshops, activities and in-services; respond
to informational requests from outside agencies and others regarding assigned activities.

Assist parents and guardians to understand their rights and responsibilities which empower them to become
advocates for quality education and contribute to developing a positive emotional climate between the home
and school.

Participate in the development and monitoring of Parent Involvement Program budgets; record and monitor
grant expenditures.

Attend and conduct a variety of meetings; serve as a member of assigned committees such as the Steering
Committee for Parent Involvement Day; coordinate and manage new and exciting Parent Involvement
Program and committees.

Participate in the scheduling and coordination of a variety of special events and workshops; develop and
design flyers, brochures and other materials for special events.

Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies and the County Office of
Education; represent the District at events as directed.

Prepare and maintain a variety of reports, records and files related to assigned activities; present findings
and reports to the Board of Education and others as directed.

Operate a variety of office equipment including a computer and assigned software; drive a vehicle to
conduct work.

Provide training and work direction to program and school site staff.

Perform related duties as assigned.

Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school and three years of related experience involving
activities and programs promoting family or community involvement.


Valid California driver’s license.
Personal transportation for job-related travel.


Office environment.
Driving a vehicle to conduct work.
