For example, hearing loss or impairment is a type of injury. These codes are used in the Incident Details component. This code table identifies how the injury happened. For example, excessive noise is a possible source of injury (i.e., hearing loss or impairment). These codes are used in the Injury Details page. Record Information: PS RECORD NAME INJURY_NATR_TBL INJURY_SRCE_TBL Source of Injury Codes Approach: The State of Connecticut will use the Nature of Injury and the Source of Injury Table to setup codes and descriptions about work-related injuries and illnesses suffered by employees or non-employees. Currently AWCS has „Loss Descriptor Codes - Result‟ and „Loss Descriptor Codes - Cause‟ that would correspond to the PS Nature and Source Injury codes. These codes are accessible state wide and should remain so. Information Source:  The Department of Administrative Services – Workers‟ Compensation Unit will compile and supply the coding necessary to populate this table based on legacy system(s).
