Record Information:

PS RECORD NAME RECORD NAME DESCRIPTION

INJURY_NATR_TBL Nature of Injury Codes This code table identifies types of physical

injuries. For example, hearing loss or impairment

is a type of injury. These codes are used in the

Incident Details component.

INJURY_SRCE_TBL Source of Injury Codes This code table identifies how the injury

happened. For example, excessive noise is a

possible source of injury (i.e., hearing loss or

impairment). These codes are used in the Injury

Details page.

Approach:

The State of Connecticut will use the Nature of Injury and the Source of Injury Table to setup codes and

descriptions about work-related injuries and illnesses suffered by employees or non-employees. Currently

AWCS has „Loss Descriptor Codes - Result‟ and „Loss Descriptor Codes - Cause‟ that would correspond

to the PS Nature and Source Injury codes. These codes are accessible state wide and should remain so.

Information Source:

 The Department of Administrative Services – Workers‟ Compensation Unit will compile and

supply the coding necessary to populate this table based on legacy system(s).

(INJURY_NATR_TBL) and Source of Injury Codes Table (INJURY_SRCE_TBL)

 Set Id Table (SETID_TBL)

 Operator Default Table HR (OPR_DEF_TBL_HR)

Testing Considerations:

 Pages can be added, changed, viewed successfully.

 The Nature of Injury Codes is used in the Incident Details Component.

 The Source of Injury Codes is used in the Injury Details Page.

Assumptions:

 The State of Connecticut will use the Nature of Injury and the Source of Injury Table to setup codes

and descriptions about work-related injuries and illnesses suffered by employees or non-employees.
