Cooking lobster is easy if you know the secrets. If you cook it wrongly, you’ll damage the
taste of the lobster. Follow this step by step instructions to prepare delicious lobster for
your family.


A few important notes
    1. It’s advisable to cook the lobster in the salty water.
    2. If you want to add flavour to your lobster, you can add wine, herbs or vegetables
        (celery, parsley, onions,etc)
    3. Be creative, don’t stick to one recipe. Experiment with many recipes and
        ingredients.
    4. There are many ways to cook the lobster. We’ll focus on boiling and steaming
        methods here.
    5. You must wait until the shell has turned bright red before removing it from the
        pot. A properly cooked lobster will have white and firm meat. The antenna can
        be pulled off easily if the lobster is properly cooked.
    6. Most lobster meat is located in the two front claws and its tail.

                                    How To Boil Lobster

  1. Get a large pot and pour it with water.
  2. Make sure that the pot is big enough for the lobster
  3. The lobster should be boiled in salty water. Add sea salt. The rule is simple – for
      every 2 litres of water, add 2 tablespoons.
  4. Now, start boiling the water.
  5. Take the live lobster and drop it into the boiling water starting from its head.
  6. Cover the pot with the lid and lets it cook for a few minutes. The time depends on
      the weight of the lobster. It takes roughly 16 minutes for the 3 pound lobster.
  7. Once done, drain the water and serve it hot together with butter sauce and lime
      slices

                                  How To Steam Lobster


  1. Get steaming apparatus to steam the lobster.
  2. Follow the apparatus set-up instructions on how to steam food. The water should
      be added with salt.
  3. Steaming requires much longer time compared to boiling. 3 pound lobster will
      require roughly 20 minutes.
  4. Once done, serve it hot together with butter sauce and lime slices
