In memoriam: Verna mae Teglia CU Insight V erna Mae Teglia, who passed away recently at age 78, was born and raised in San Francisco and had a very strong presence in the North County. She worked tirelessly in campaigns for her husband, Al Teglia. She was also active in the Florence Crittenton, a nonprofit organization that helps unwed mothers and served as Vice Chairperson of the Gemco Corporation Scholarship Program and was an avid member of the Italian Catholic Federation, helping to put together its 50th anniversary book.
