					Polyserve SAN Switch
Dump the vsql and vsqlinstance information from the cluster
by running the following from the DOS prompt C:\
       MX vsql dump >> vsql.txt
       MX vsqlinstance dump >> vsqlinstance.txt

Disable all SQL instances and VSQL’s
From the Polyserve management console – Application tab
Set the instance in maintenance mode
disable the SQL instance and then the VSQL

Stop all SQL Server Instances
From the Computer management - Services window on each server
Stop the SQL Server service, SQL ServerAgent service, and SQL Server FullText service.

Deport the dynamic volumes (paths automatically unassigned)
From the Polyserve management console menu – Storage – Dynamic Volume – Deport Volumes…
Deport the dynamic volumes by highlighting all the volumes and then clicking the Deport button.

Stop Cluster Services on all Cluster nodes
From the Computer management - Services window on each server
Stop the Polyserve Matrix Server service and set it to Disabled

Backup Polyserve files
Copy C:\Program Files\Polyserve folder and subfolders to the server BCOMSQL02 H:\Prod Polyserve Cluster,
to the predefined folders for each server.
Also copy the vsql.txt and vsqlinstance.txt from C:\ - this is only required from one server

Notify the Windows Team to unpresent all LUNs from the old array –
Break the mirror relationship –
Present all the mirrored LUNs

Prepare 3 new Membership partitions
From Disk management – partition each of the 3 8GB disks into a 2 and a 6 GB partition

NOTE – verify the new partitions are showing on ALL the other servers in the cluster, if not reboot the servers
it’s not showing up on.

Create 3 new Membership partitions
From the Polyserve configuration utility – storage settings
Remove the 3 old membership partitions
Add 3 new membership partitions – 2GB each, save and apply
If prompted to recreate, select YES

Start Cluster services
Start Cluster services on the current node (server)

Export the config to the other nodes and then start their services
From Polyserve configuration utility – Matrix-wide configuration, export the configuration to the other nodes.
NOTE
Ensure to change ILO when prompted

Once the configurations have been successfully exported, start the services on the exported nodes.

Import ALL importable dynamic volumes
From the Polyserve management console menu – Storage – Dynamic Volume – Import Volumes
Import the dynamic volumes by highlighting all the volumes and then clicking the Import button.

Assign paths
From the Polyserve management console – FileSystems tab
Right-click a filesystem and select Assign path
Select the correct drive letter or enter the correct mount path and click OK

NOTE
You can always select Query assignments to ensure the path has not already been assigned.

Enable all SQL instances and VSQLs
From the Polyserve management console – Application tab
Enable the SQL instance then enable the VSQL
Set the instance to Operate.
