                        With reference to the above School Trip insurance, I am writing to advise that
                        the above scheme has been renewed with effect from 1st September 2006.

                        This year the premium due will be £386.00 and this amount will be debited
                        shortly using cost centre code E10664 general ledger (sub detail) code 51680
                        during the Autumn Term. If you are a bank account school a debtor account will
                        be raised.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that in addition to the
insurance cover, you also have access to the eduvia.com web site –
www.eduvia.com. Which is a valuable resource for the planning assessment that
of school trips. For instance available on eduvia.com are risk assessment
guidelines, checklists, and emergency procedure information. ACE Rescue
cards can be downloaded from the site. eduvia.com also gives you access to
news items, expert views and links to many other web sites that will provide
further assistance when planning trips. ACE is continually improving the site to
ensure you have the most up to date information possible. When you log on to
eduvia.com you will need to register. Simply click on the ‘sign up now’ button.
You will then be asked for a password, which is risk. Finally, enter your details,
generate your own user id and password and you will have full access to
eduvia.com.

I think this will be a useful and interesting resource, which is intended to
complement the Council’s own guidelines (Off site visits, Field Studies and
Outdoor Education Guidelines) not replace them. Our own guidelines are the
prevailing ones.

I must stress that if you have any queries on the insurance or need to
make a claim, you should contact this office. Each and every incident
requires the completion of a claim form. All completed claim forms must
be returned for my attention at Worcestershire County Council.
