Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) Issues Comment for The Israel Project
Little Rock, AR – Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) has issued the following comment to be
used by The Israel Project in a press conference on July 19, 2007:
"I am proud to add my voice to the tens of thousands of people who have signed The Israel
Project's petition to the United Nations concerning Iran. I condemn Iran's irrational call for the
destruction of Israel and its reckless defiance of the international community by its continued pursuit
of nuclear weapons and other hostile actions. I urge Iran to stop enriching uranium and accept monitoring
by the IAEA, to recognize the right of Israel to exist, and to end its support of all terror groups, such as
Hamas, Hezbollah, and Islamic Jihad. Iran currently poses an unacceptable threat to Israel, to the entire
region, to the United States, and to all peace-loving peoples throughout the world."
