Another indication of the metaphysi
cal fraud concerns the matter of ap
parel. Psychic cheaters normally we
ar robes and turbans and other fanc
y costumes to give the impression t
o people and their prospective clie
nts that they are different, sacred
or holy in some way. The moment we
meet such psychics our gullible su
bconscious minds are influenced neg
atively unless we take the appropri
ate measures of protection among wh
ich is to rationalize the situation
and to see through their deception
. Let it be known that true modern
saints or genuine metaphysicians, i
n general, do not wear apparel any
different from the norm. They dress
the way ordinary human beings dres
s taking into account environmental
factors and culture. One of the mo
st important principle to keep in m
ind is that true metaphysicians or
saints would never direct attention
to themselves. Their words, manner
ism, and behavior are free from the
taints of the false ego.
It is important to realize that mos
t psychics, whether fraudulent or g
enuine, when given the chance will
play upon the fears and worries of
clients. They would strengthen a cl
ient's belief that all that they fe
ar are true and more besides, and t
hat the only way out of their dilem
ma or problem is to apply the direc
tions of the paranormal which usual
ly involves emptying the purse. Oft
en they would declare how negative
you are or how you are so filled wi
th negative energies and that with
their "great powers" they would pur
ify you and help you succeed in ove
rcoming all that is counterproducti
ve to your welfare--but with a cert
ain reward, of course. At times the
y will say that you will have a pot
ential problem in a certain bodily
organ and to prevent it from manife
sting they will balance the situati
on for you--for a fee. Although the
detection of an unbalanced situati
on in one's bio-energy field is a p
ossibility, many so-called psychics
dupe the public as to their abilit
y to do this. They only cause unnec
essary concern over dangers that do
not exist.
Beware of those psychics that adver
tise the "testimonies" of their "cl
ients," (normally celebrities) to s
upport their claims of power, talen
t or the effectiveness of their ser
vices and products. These statement
s often appear in print in the mass
media and are mostly unwarranted.
You will also find many psychic fra
uds on the Internet. When requestin
g a psychic reading, psychics in th
e Net will send you a stereotype pr
ofile reading that would apply to a
ny Tom, Dick or Harry. If one would
reason it out one would come to re
alize that it would be impossible f
or any human being to cater or to d
evote their undivided attention to
hundreds of persons requesting a ps
ychic reading in a single day. The
only resort left for these psychics
is to present something applicable
but spiritually meaningless to all
. The daily or weekly horoscopes to
be found in magazines are of these
sort as well. Psychic frauds or th
ose who are under the influence of
self-deception often make bombastic
claims in their advertisements but
offer very little of soul-worth. H
ere we do not comment on the realit
y of psychicism, of magical forces,
of subtle energies. We know that t
hey do exist and are real to those
who are able to perceive them; basi
cally, what we are opposed to are p
sychics and frauds taking advantage
of the ignorance of their fellow men.
Paranormals and low-caliber metaphy
sicians have the tendency in making
their clients overly dependent upo
n them, their services and their pr
oducts. Even spiritual teachers fal
l into this trap. They allow their
disciples to lean too much upon the
m. The Master Jesus once said to hi
s disciples that he had to leave th
em at a certain time, for if not, t
he "comforter" would not come. He m
eant by this that if he did not lea
ve them, and that if his disciples
depended too much upon him for thei
r spiritual sustenance, they would
not spiritually mature and that the
y would not acquire a higher awaren
ess and understanding through perso
nal effort and experience. True met
aphysicians teach one not to be ove
rly-dependent upon anything artific
ial and external for one's well-bei
ng. It is wholly vital that we reso
rt to an internal resource or be de
pendent upon our inner Source, our
true Self--the part of God within u
s for our spiritual nourishment.
The object of metaphysical service
is to facilitate the spiritual grow
th of humanity. This principle is c
onstantly being violated, however.
Unaware of spiritual values and pur
poses, psychics simply deliver good
s that in the long run stall the ev
olution of man. Their services do n
ot promote spiritual unfoldment or
the manifestation of the Christ Con
sciousness. In this they are no dif
ferent from those who implement the
practices of hedonism and material
ism. For instance, one of the paran
ormal practices is the insertion of
implants to manifest charisma, cha
rm, power, fascination, etc. Indone
sian psychics call these implants,
"susuk." It is not too often realiz
ed that the power of these implants
are temporary in nature notwithsta
nding the statements of some psychi
cs as to the contrary. Energy by it
s very nature is in a constant stat
e of flux and may be modified, chan
ged, or transmuted. All organisms a
re constantly radiating energy and
this influences whatever it comes i
nto contact with, so an implant imb
ued with a certain force may unwitt
ingly be transmuted or neutralized
by the person who has it inserted i
nto him. Now even-though such impla
nts may contain and radiate power,
the persons given such a force may
not want to undergo the necessary c
haracter-building and metaphysical
disciplines that would eventually g
ive them what they seek and consequ
ently, progress spiritually. For th
ey presume that what they need alre
ady exists in them with the presenc
e of the implant. However, it shoul
d be noted that the power derived f
rom an artificial source is ephemer
al and the total reliance upon it d
irects us away from the spiritual p
ath. It makes one self-complacent a
nd slothful. We should acquire the
qualities or conditions that we see
k through personal effort. Implants
, talismans, and such are simply ai
ds to help one--they are not to be
totally relied upon. Their use shou
ld be rightly understood if they ar
e to be of true worth to us. Please
note here that we are not disappro
ving the practice of making or bearing t
we present such things on our site.
Our intent is to explain the right
attitude to be adopted.
The Dark forces wish humanity to st
agnate in its soul progression. It
will not have humanity improve its
spiritual status. Thus anything tha
t stalls evolution or hinders man f
rom treading the Spiritual Path is
the work of the Fallen Ones. Psychi
c wares can degenerate into instrum
ents of the Dark forces. Those who
are inclined to experiment with the
wares of paranormals should do so
with the right understanding and pe
rspective.
Pseudo-psychics have their confeder
ates. They often have their minions
search for gullible persons whom t
hey may influence and manipulate. B
y persuasive speech henchmen of pse
udo-psychics convince their prey ho
w powerful and wise a certain paran
ormal (their boss) is. Various tric
ks are used. Information concerning
a certain potential client may be
acquired before hand and then conve
yed to the "psychic." When the clie
nt visits the psychic, he is astoni
shed that the so-called seer knows
everything about him.
Sleight-of-hand, hidden gizmos, and
gadgets are often used in the "hea
ling" of a patient/client of a psyc
hic malady, or to prove the existen
ce of the psychic's innate powers.
Since the belief in transferred, ma
licious etheric implants ("santet"
in Indonesian) are taken for grante
d among the lower class, tricks and
deceptions are frequently resorted
to in order to convince the patien
t that an object had been taken out
from the patient's body; and this
is supposed to be the cause of an i
llness. Often a healing may well ta
ke place using such quackery since
a large percentage of cases of illn
esses have a psychosomatic origin o
r are caused by abnormal thoughts a
nd feelings, and these respond to t
he shaman working within the patien
t's belief frame-work. Such healing
s are based upon the principle of s
uggestion.
Psychic healers may boast that a pa
tient of theirs may have been to ev
ery kind of healer, undergone every
form of therapeutics, and yet no h
ealing took place until the individ
ual came to them to be "healed." No
t only is their boast self-promotio
nal in nature but their belief is a
fallacy. Firstly, healing is a pro
cess conducted by Nature--no single
individual does the healing. A per
son may have been to one doctor or
healer after another without being
apparently cured; however, the heal
ing process may already have begun
without the person's knowledge and
awareness. Thus, at a certain point
of the healing process the person
finds himself completely cured and
he ignorantly attributes this to th
e last healer that attempted to cur
e him. And this "healer" arrogantly
considers the healing to be the re
sult of his or her own personal pow
ers and prowess. Secondly, a person
is not curable unless he subconsci
ously and consciously wants to be c
ured--when he is psychologically re
ady to release the malady. When thi
s is released through self-determin
ation and faith he finds himself cu
red, and this often occurs no matte
r to what healer he goes to or the
form of therapy that he undergoes a
t that time. Thirdly, some illnesse
s are karmic in nature, and only wh
en the karmic lesson is learnt or t
he karmic force spent and compensat
ed will the inharmonious bodily or
psychological condition disappear.
Again, this may occur spontaneously
at a time when the person visits a
healer and without the healer actu
