October 15, 2009

(Tumon, Guam USA) “Y-Sengsong Chamorro”, translated in English as The Chamorro Village, will
host its popular Night Market on Friday nights beginning October 30, 2009. Friday’s Chamorro
Village night market will be in addition to Wednesday evening’s open-air night market located in
Guam’s capital city of Hagåtña.

The Chamorro Village night market’s popular demand and an expanding assortment of vendor stalls
has a created a must-go-to event where residents and visitors enjoy a wide array of freshly-cooked
ethnic food, grilled fish, meats, and seafood along with contemporary and authentic collectable
souvenirs, live bands, cultural shows and dancing.

Trolley bus transportation from Tumon, Guam’s hotel row, will provide easy access for visitors to
experience the Friday night open-air market atmosphere: a blend of local eating, drinking, shopping,
artistry and relaxation. It creates a wonderful visitor destination experience.

Gerry S.A. Perez, General Manager of the Guam Visitors Bureau, said, “We are pleased that the
Guam Chamorro Village Night Market experience will be available two nights a week for our visitors
to relax, enjoy, and eat alongside local residents.”

“Our visitors yearn to share experiences with local residents so they can understand how we, as a
community, have fun and relax. It creates an opportunity to differentiate our community from other
destinations,” said Perez.
