I am honored to receive the endorsement of Women Lawyers of Utah, Inc. (“WLU”) for President-
Elect of the Utah Bar. The choice of Bar leadership is particularly crucial to WLU in light of recent
recommendations to remove WLU and other ex officio members from the Bar Commission. My
opponent, John Adams, was a member of the Task Force on Bar Governance which made this
recommendation to the Utah Supreme Court in February, 2000. The Court did not accept this
recommendation, leaving the issue of ex officio participation to the discretion of the Commission and
