CONGRATULATIONS to the four St. Anastasia winners of the “Keeping Christ
in Christmas” Poster Contest sponsored by the Catholic War Veterans of the
USA, Havertown Post 731. In keeping with the Catholic War Veterans’ motto –
“For God, For Country, For Home” – the contest’s purpose is to inspire
students to reflect on the purpose of Christmas and to artistically express, in
their own way, the true spirit of Christmas.
All of the 7th and 8th grade Posters will be exhibited throughout the school

from all of our school families gives St. Annies
FREE MONEY! It allows the Home & School
Association to add this money to our budget which
in turn, funds programs such as Family Outreach,
Author’s Day, Career Day, Science Fair and many

Small Fry 2010
Small fry basketball will start on January 9th for 1st,
2nd, 3rd grade St. Anastasia girls and boys. Small
Fry Basketball is clinic-style basketball coached by
parent and designed for fun and development. Fee
is $20 per child and will run for about 8-10 weeks
on Saturday mornings. Contact Mike Foster at 610-
325-0794 with questions. Schedule:
9:00 to 9:50 - 1st grade girls
9:50 to 10:40 - 1st grade boys
10:40 to 11:30 – 2nd grade girls
11:30 to 12:20 – 2nd grade boys
12:20 to 1:10 – 3rd grade girls
1:10 to 2:00 – 3rd grade boys
We must have current copies of your security clearances
on-file in the school office if you plan on volunteering at
our school. This includes, lunch moms and dads, library
helpers, homeroom parents, chaperones on field trips, etc.

GYM UNIFORM PASS FUNDRAISER!!!
Back by popular demand, the Student Council is selling Gym Uniform Passes! These
passes will be sold throughout the rest of the school year.
You can purchase gym uniform passes for your children and they can be used any
day throughout the rest of the year. Your child can choose to wear the gym
uniform to school in place of the regular school uniform. The child simply gives in
the pass to the homeroom teacher in the morning.
The cost will be $5 for one pass or 3 passes for $10.
That equals out to be: BUY TWO, GET ONE FREE!!!
To order the passes, simply fill out the form at the bottom of the page and send it to school
to the attention of Mrs. Doyle in the main office. Your passes will be sent home in a day or
so with your oldest child in the school.

many different organizations. We will continue to do so with the proceeds from this sale.
The Student Council was also able to award two monetary scholarships at the 8th grade
graduation last year, due to the success of this fundraiser.

Gym Uniform Passes c/o Mrs. Doyle
As one of our 8th grade fundraisers this year we will be selling “lottery tickets” for the
month of December. Here is how they work – you purchase a “lottery ticket” for a
$10.00 donation. Each evening the winning ticket number is based on the
7:00 PM Pennsylvania lottery number drawn. The number (straight) is the winning ticket
for that day. The Monday through Friday winners will receive a $50.00 prize. On
Sundays the winner will receive a $100.00 prize and on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day the
winner will receive a $150.00 prize. The big winner will be on New Year’s Day when the
winner will receive a $200.00 prize. There is only one winner per day and for your
$10.00 donation you have 31 chances throughout the month to win.
Tickets will be available starting November 16th and may be purchased through school.

donation no later than December 18th. All profits from the sale will be used to help
