Congratulations on your decision to experience the ultimate relaxation machine. We would like to thank you for choosing a
Master Spa. Please take the time to read this booklet before the delivery of your new spa. It will help to ensure a quick, safe
and trouble-free delivery. Please ask your sales representative for details of the delivery services that we provide.

For more detailed information on the operation and maintenance of your spa, please refer to the Owner’s Manual that will
accompany your spa on delivery. Also, remember to complete the warranty registration card and send it to Master Spas, Inc.
within 10 days after delivery.

NOTE: All electrical connections to your spa MUST be made by a qualified, licensed
electrician. Improper wiring may cause damage to the spa and/or its components that
would not be covered under warranty.

NOTE: The delivery crew allows 1 hour to unload the spa and set it in place. If it
takes more than 1 hour for delivery, a fee of $100/hour will be billed to the customer.
Special arrangements can be made with the delivery crew to add a 3rd or 4t h person on
delivery for a minimal charge.

Selecting and Preparing an Area for Your Spa

The first thing you need to have is a solid foundation that your spa will sit on. A level reinforced, 4 inch thick concrete pad is
the ideal surface. A brick surface or patio paver surface is acceptable as long as the ground underneath the spa has been
leveled and filled with pea gravel or sand. This layer will need to be compacted and then the brick surface or patio pavers can
be laid on top, followed by the spa. Some settling is to be expected because of the spa’s weight when filled with water can be
90 lbs per square foot. All adjustments should be made to limit this. Damage to the spa shell caused by improper or
inadequate foundation support or by placing the spa on an uneven surface is not covered under warranty. It is the responsibility
of the owner to provide a solid foundation for the spa.

If the spa is being installed on a wooden deck, it is recommended that you consult a qualified contractor or structural engineer
to be sure that the deck can hold the weight of the spa. Please contact your sales representative for spa model sizes and
weight.

Other Site Recommendations:
     1. Be sure there are no overhead power lines located within 15 feet of the spa.
     2. Be sure that all equipment and motors are accessible for service needs. Time and work involved in gaining access to
the components of your spa is not part of the warranty coverage.
     3. Be sure to consider the privacy that you will have when enjoying your spa.
     4. Consider any particular view you will want when sitting in specific seats in your spa.
     5. Consider necessary clearance with use of cover lifter.

NOTE: As the homeowner, it is your responsibility to provide a level, structurally sound
foundation for your spa.

Spa Placement

Your spa must be set on a SOLID FLAT FOUNDATION; we recommend a 4” thick concrete slab, however, properly support decks,
“Spa Pads”, and brick or paver patios are also acceptable. Hot Tub Oasis DOES NOT RECOMMEND in-ground, sunken or enclosed
spa installations. These types of installations make it impossible for service technicians to access the spa’s equipment area.
Installations of this nature could create ground water situations, which could cause damage to the spa’s internal equipment and
void the warranty. Our delivery crew is not responsible for shimming or leveling the spa area. This area should be clear of
settling water or flooding. Take into consideration the area required for steps, cover-lifters and gazebos when preparing the spa
area. Please realize if the spa surface is not level, you may void the warranty.

Indoor Installation

Indoor installation does have some special requirements. You will want to make sure that adequate ventilation is available in the
room. In some cases, an exhaust fan may be needed. Check to make sure that your pain, wallpaper and/or woodwork can
withstand increased humidity levels.

Because you will accumulate water around the spa, it is recommended that a floor drain be installed. For safety reasons, proper
floor materials should be installed that are slip resistant when wet.

Placing a spa inside creates additional difficulties both during installation and after the spa is operational. It is the customer’s
responsibility to prepare the spa area and entrance path prior to spa installation. For both the homeowner and Hot Tub Oasis’s
protection, please note the following:

Specifics 2
     1. Spa must be placed on or in an area where water humidity will not cause damage. In some cases, an exhaust fan
may be needed. Check to make sure that your pain, wallpaper and/or woodwork can withstand increased humidity
levels. A spa cannot be placed on carpet without water damage occurring.
     2. Because you will accumulate water around the spa, it is recommended that a floor drain be installed. For safety
reasons, proper floor materials should be installed that are slip resistant when wet.
     3. Spas are heavy and awkward items to maneuver through someone’s home. It is the customer’s responsibility to be sure
that the delivery crew will have a clear, level entrance path to the end location of the spa.
     4. A normal installation requires two people. If additional personnel are required due to a difficult installation, there is a
charge of $100 per person / per hour, payable at the time of installation. If you suspect there may be a difficulty,
please contact our office for a site inspection.

Spa Installed Outside

Spas are ideally suited for outdoor use. The base of the spa must sit on a level, non-settling surface such as a 4” thick concrete
pad or wooden deck. It is the customer’s responsibility to prepare an area of this type prior to installation. Please note the
following:
     1. If the spa is going on a deck and the height or access to the deck requires additional personnel or equipment, there is
a $100 per person / per hour charge. It is the customer’s responsibility to provide the equipment. If you suspect
there may be a difficulty, please contact our office for a site inspection.
     2. Spas are heavy and awkward items to maneuver through tight access paths, up stairs or on high decks. If the spa is
being recessed into a deck or floor, and it is necessary to temporarily place the spa, not completing the installation, to
return at a time to finish installation, there will be a minimum $100 per person / per hour charge for the additional
             personnel and trip.
     3. If the customer chooses to recess the hot tub s/he MUST follow the Hot Tub Oasis Recessed Spa Accessibility
             Requirements.
     4. In some cases, a crane is required for delivery and/or service of the spa. It is the customer’s responsibility for all
crane costs associated with delivery and/or service.

Installing the Spa into a Deck

Most Master Spas can be lowered into a deck*. You will need to provide the solid base that the spa will sit on. It is also
necessary to provide access to the components of the spa. This can be done by having removable portions of your deck. It is
not acceptable to have a service man crawl under your deck to make any necessary repairs. Restricted access may result in
additional service fees to the owner.

*Hot Tub Oasis DOES NOT RECOMMEND in-ground, sunken or enclosed spa installations. These types of installations make it
impossible for service technicians to access the spa’s equipment area.

NOTE: Any spas with TV’s or Stereo’s should NOT be sunk into a deck.

Spa Delivery Access

Contact your sales representative to determine the size of your spa. You will want to check with them also to inquire how they
deliver their spas and how much space their delivery equipment takes. It is the customer’s responsibility to make sure that
adequate access is available at the time of delivery.

Here are some things to notice when considering your delivery route:

     1. Are there trees, shrubs or flower beds that will obstruct delivery?
     2. Measure the widths of gates, doors sidewalks and openings your spa will go through. It may be necessary for you to
remove a section of fencing to provide adequate clearance.
     3. If the spa is to be set on a deck with side rails, the rails may need to be removed.
     4. Check the placement of gas meters, water meters, A/C units, also look out for low roof eaves and rain gutters.

The delivery path must be free of debris, furniture, water, snow, ice, mud, brush, trees, etc. The path must be clear before our
delivery crew arrives. Our deliver team will not move any heavy objects, shovel snow, take down fences, or remove deck rails.
SPAS ARE VERY HEAVY. They cannot be lifted onto balconies over 3 feet off the ground. If you are setting your spa indoors you
must take into consideration the dimensions of door height, width, and trim measurements, allowing 6 inches more than the spa
dimensions. The customer is responsible for giving accurate measurements. Inaccurate measurements or inaccurate details of the
delivery may cause additional charges to the customer. This could also mean that the delivery cannot be done at that time and
another delivery charge will apply. Upon delivery, if the spa cannot be delivered to the intended location due to obstructions,
our delivery crew will place the spa in another easy access location. A redelivery fee of $500.00 will be charged if the spa is
returned to the warehouse. Any damage or scratching on delivery caused by poor access conditions will be the customer’s
responsibility.

NOTE: Some deliveries do require the use of a crane. It is the responsibility of the spa
owner to coordinate and pay for such services.

Electrical Requirements

The electrical wiring of your spa must be a dedicated 240-volt, 50- Amp, 3 wire plus ground (#6 AWG Copper). All 240-volt
equipment packs require a double pole GFCI breaker hard-wired to the spa. We recommend the GFCI breaker box be located
within visual eyesight, but no closer than 5’ (per N.E.C. Electrical Codes), and be EASILY ACCESSIBLE. This is important when the
spa owner is not home and our service technicians are there for service. THIS WORK MUST BE COMPLETED BY A LICESNSED
ELECTRICIAN. ALL ELECTRICAL HOOK-UPS MUST MEET N.E.C (National Electrical Code) AND PERTINENT LOCAL CODES. OUR
DELIVERY CREW IS NOT LICENSED TO CONNECT OR DISCONNECT ANY ELECTRICAL WIRING. It is recommended that a licensed
electrician performs the work AFTER THE SPA HAS BEEN DELIVERED. No extension cords may be used at any time. A 110-volt
spa requires a 20 Amp dedicated line.

For spas installed in the United States, the electrical wiring must meet requirements of the National Electric Code (NEC) and any
applicable state or local codes. The electrical wiring must be performed by a licensed electrician and if necessary, approved by a
local electrical inspector.

Failure to have your spa wired by a licensed electrician may result in voiding your warranty. Damage caused by improper
electrical hook up may result in voiding of the warranty. Any components damaged due to improper wiring will not be covered
under warranty.

NOTE: It is recommended that the GFCI breaker be no more than 25 feet from the spa
to reduce intermittent tripping of the breaker. It is recommended that a standard
breaker be used at the internal breaker box and the GFCI breaker be located outside for
ease of service should the spa require service or repair.

* Actual wiring of GFCI will vary by manufacturer of GFCI. The GFCI shown is a Square D. Improper wiring of GFCI may result in
permanent damage to spa system box. To prevent voiding your warranty, a minimum of 6 AWG stranded copper wire is required.

Repair / replacement of spa system box is not covered under warranty when damage results from improper wiring.
