Sunday, October 5 at 3:00 p.m.
Please help us serve communion to our homebound members and shut-ins. We will go out in groups of three or four and each group will be led by a deacon. This will be a very meaningful experience for our homebound members and for us as we celebrate our unity with Christ, one another, and Christians worldwide. We need as many people as possible to make sure we are able to serve all our homebound people in the time that has been set aside. Meet in the Fellowship Hall to receive your assignment(s) and instructions. You should be through no later than 5:00 p.m.
Join us this Sunday, September 28 ~ 9:00 and 11:00 a.m.

We all pray . . .
Youth Choir & Youth Handbells—We are busy preparing music for Festival and for Christmas. We will be singing for worship on October 12, and the Hanging of the Green service is November 30, so we need everyone at rehearsals now! If you haven’t been coming, it’s not too late, but you need to come this Sunday.
Thanks to Lamar McCarrell for filling in for me last Sunday while I was away.
Some more often than others, but we all pray - - as individuals. But for the prayer life of the church to be focused and organized and vibrant, there must be some leadership. That leadership is what the Prayer Team of our church seeks to offer, and anyone with a passion for prayer can be a part of this team. With Nancy Whitehurst as our new Prayer Team Leader, we are re-organizing our Prayer Team, and we would love for you to get involved. In the past, our Prayer Team has established and furnished a beautiful prayer room, has invited us to sign up to pray around the clock, has offered prayer seminars and workshops, has opened up prayer groups (some of which are still meeting), has organized a prayer chain for urgent prayer requests, has provided prayer request cards and prayer grams for intercessory prayer - and these are just a few of the ways a Prayer Team can function. But as we begin a new year of prayer ministry, we want to invite anyone to come and share your ideas with us. Be a part of our prayer team. We need your energy, your suggestions, and your help to coordinate the prayer life of our church. Hope to see you at our organizational meeting in October (date and time to be announced). We all pray as individuals, but something indescribable happens when we pray as a church.
