Student who are recipients of a Federal Direct Student Loan must complete an interactive, online Exit Counseling session with the lender if they are graduating, have dropped below six (6) credits, or have withdrawn from the college. This online exit counseling session has been created to make sure that you understand your rights and responsibilities as a Federal Direct Loan Borrower. Here is all you need to do: 1. Have your PIN (Personal Identification Number) handy. If you don’t remember this number, you can go to the federal website; www.pin.ed.gov 2. Once you have your PIN, go to www.dlservicer.ed.gov/exitcounseling/ecec-main.asp 3. Go to option #2 and click on the link “Take the Exit Counseling session” 4. This will bring you to the login page. Enter the required information. 5. Read the information about how to manage student loans after college. 6. Answer all the questions. 7. We suggest you print out the “Borrower’s Responsibility” page and keep it for your own records.
