After upgrading my epo from 4 to 4.5, agent from 3.6 to 4.5 and vs from 8.5 to 8.7 have
noticed that windows 2000 servers and clients aren't updating, have subsequently read that
windows 2000 isn't supported anymore!!!

I think ver 4 of the agent does still support windows 2000, so was wondering how to go
about combining both agents within epo and fire version 4 of the agent just to the windows
2000 machines. Has anyone done this or know how it's done?

Wonder why they dropped support on 2000?

Thanks in advance.

I have the same exact issue here. Hoping for some sort of answer.

Download McAfee Agent 4.0.0 for Windows Patch 3 then check into EPO under your
previous branch then create your framePkg.exe package with the 4.0 version and then your
all set.

I just did this I'm all set

thanks

Many thanks for your replies, I tried checking the agent, but it won't let me select the
previous branch (it's greyed out) as is the evaluation branch, allowing only current...
I assume I'm checking-in the package from the right place? Menu>Software>Master
Repository?

If you are running EPO 4.5 this discussion should show you how to enable different
branches. http://community.mcafee.com/message/101576#101576
