The Vampire Vacations
Objectives: Vocabulary Critical Thinking Development Developing writing skills
Setting the stage: Teacher asks the students to tell a strange mystery story that had happened in their lives. . Input: Teacher shows the students the cover page of the book and starts a brainstorming activity with the question such as , “What is your opinion of this picture?”
Guided participation: Teacher divides the students into 5 groups of 4 people and gives blank sheets of paper and markers. First they should read the first chapter of the text individually, and then they must write down the new vocabulary they find in the text. Second, teacher tells them to follow the vampire and draw a map of vampire’s way. . Extension For this part teacher tells them to make up the end for the story they have just read.
